Happy 9th Birthday Nolan!!!

We just can't believe that Nolan is already 9 years old today. Time has flown by too quickly. He is growing up too quickly! This morning I made him his favorite breakfast then we opened his gifts. We took him to see WALL-E at the Cine Capri which is the biggest movie screen in the valley. Jason and I use to go to the original movie theater as kids to see movies...brought back so many wonderful memories for the both of us. The kids jaws were almost to the floor when they saw the movie screen. After that we took Nolan to Toys "R" Us since there was a special prize for him at the store on his birthday plus Nolan had $18 of his own money and a $3 off coupon for any purchases over $20. Nolan was given special treatment at the store...he got a crown, birthday balloon, they announced his birthday over the loud speaker and played a Happy Birthday song. He bought a new Indiana Jones lego set, baby black lab animal (a friend for blackie who has been with us for 9 years), and a husky dog animal (for his new webkinz). Nolan wanted me to make him "mom's famous chicken enchiladas" as he calls them for dinner. We had cupcakes then off to bed...what a fun day we all had celebrating his birthday. He needs to stop growing up though now!

Silly bug was going around today...

Not sure what was in the water today but there was a whole bunch of silliness going around...Nolan is not sick anymore, YAY. Jason and I made Nolan's cupcakes when he went so he would be surprised for his his birthday tomorrow.

Wet dog...

Nolan was sent home today with either food poisoning or the stomach flu. Poor thing is so sick...hopefully he will be better by Sunday for this birthday. We played it low key all day and took care of Nolan. Madison helped me give our dog scruffy a bath. She is always helping me out around the house...so is Nolan!

I was offered the job I wanted today. YAY! I am so excited to start working again on Monday. The staffing agency I signed up with helped me find this job...it is close to home, great pay, & a fabulous company with wonderful people.

Disco Fever...

Nolan and Madison had Disco Fever today...their daddy felt the jive too before he went to work.

Park time...

Today we went to the park next to our house before dinner so the kids could play outside and get their energy out. Nolan rode his bike while Maddie played fetch with Scruffy. We had lots of fun!

Hot hot hot...

Today Jason did not have to work so we all had fun together. It was nice spending time with him since I have not seen him much in over a week. It is so hot outside...ugh. I wish that we had a pool at our house to cool off in.

Some art and silliness

Today the kids and I played around the house then took Jason to work. They were being silly all day and making me laugh like they do every day. Nolan drew a family picture of the four of us. He loves to draw and do art so much. Madison loves coloring and making pictures too! The kids are excited to go back to summer school tomorrow.

They love their daddy...

Today was a lazy Saturday...I tried to get things caught up around the house. The kids and I just stayed inside and watched movies together since it is so hot outside then we took Jason to work. They love taking pictures with their daddy and spending time with him as much as possible! They are so cute together but I am biased... :) Our friend Traci came over and hung out with us for a while. The kids love seeing her!

Back from Oregon...bubble time

I just got back from Oregon last night helping out my best friend for the last week. It is so beautiful in Oregon and I am so glad that I was there with her. The kids brought me roses when they picked me up at the airport...so sweet!!!! Jason and the kids had a fun week while I was out of town. They celebrated Father's Day and their Uncle Jeff's 40th birthday at their Nana and Papa's house this week. They had lots of fun! Today the kids and I played with bubbles after we took Jason to work. I bought these great bubbles at the dollar store while I was in Oregon since Renee and I blew them at the beach. Each color smells like something yummy. We had so much fun blowing bubbles! More posts to come soon...still catching up on everything around the house. Nolan is very excited since his birthday is on June 29th...

Model material...

The kids summer school and love it so much. Madison had a bad day today at school. One of her friends (not anymore) from her regular school decided to tell everyone that they should not be friends with her and kept saying mean things to her all day. Girls can be so mean. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for her. Nolan made a couple more friends at school. Tomorrow they have a performer coming to the camp. Every day they are coming home with art projects etc. We are so glad that we found this camp plus we love that it is next to our house too!
